Sinopsis

A field experiment was conducted at the College Farm, College of Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University, Bharuch, Gujarat to evaluate the ' Effect of weed management and fertilizer levels in rainfed cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) Under South Gujarat condition' during kharif seasons of 2020-21 and 2021-22.The experiment was designed in a factorial randomized block design encompassing two factors with total ten treatment combinations and three replications. The factors included: Five weed management treatments i.e., Two hand weeding and interculturing at 30 and 60 DAS (W1), Pendimethalin 1.00 kg/ha PE fb hand weeding and interculturing at 60 DAS (W2), Pendimethalin 1.00 kg/ha as PE+ Dhaincha as smother crop harvested and mulched at 50 DAS (W3), Soil solarization with transparent plastic sheet (LDPE 50 ?m) for 6 weeks in the month of April and May + one hand weeding at 60 DAS (W4), Unweeded control (W5) and two fertilizer levels i.e., F1: 75% RDF and F2:100% RDF. The experiment was conducted for two consecutive years with same randomization.
