Sinopsis

Sheep have a tendency to accumulate copper in the body. When the liver?s storage capacity is exhausted, copper is released into the blood, causing clinical signs of intoxication. The aim of this study was to verify the changes in serum biochemistry, blood count, erythrocyte morphology, serum protein profile and serum copper concentration during the pre-hemolytic and hemolytic phases of experimentally-induced chronic copper intoxication.
